Benicar Lawsuit
Benicar is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It was developed by Japanese drugmaker Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. in 1995. Benicar has also been used to reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular diseases. Benicar can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents. It lowers the body’s blood pressure by helping to keep blood vessels open. Recent studies have linked Benicar to severe gastrointestinal side effects. These side effects have included malnutrition, intestinal damage, weight loss, and chronic diarrhea leading to several lawsuits.
