Have you or your loved one been injured by Invokana?
Invokana is a medication used to control high blood sugar in patients with Type 2 diabetes. Keeping blood sugar levels controlled helps to prevent kidney damage, sexual dysfunction, nerve problems, and vision problems. Also, controlling blood sugar levels decreases the risks of heart attacks and strokes. In May 2015, the FDA issued a drug safety communication that warned patients and doctors that these drugs – and other SGLT2 inhibitors – may lead to diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). If left untreated, this condition can be deadly. Attorneys are now investigating cases of ketoacidosis and may file lawsuits on behalf of patients who took these drugs and suffered from DKA.
