Risperidone Lawsuit
Risperidone is an antipsychotic medication used to treat mental disorders such as biopolar disorders, schizophrenia, and autism spectrum disorders in adults and adolescents. Approved in 1993 by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Risperidone has also been used to treat hyperactivity, anxiety, and sleeping disorders. Risperidone has also been used in combination with other medications to treat depression. Lawsuits involving Risperidone included claims by patients who noted that the manufacturer (Johnson & Johnson) minimized the risks associated with the medication. Many patients have claimed they experienced humiliation and psychological trauma from breast growth/development (in males) resulting from Risperidone.
