The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Texas (NAMI Texas) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1984 and has 27 local affiliates throughout Texas. NAMI Texas works to inform the public through newspaper articles, TV interviews, brochures and other means of public communication. Psychiatric care or counseling is not available through NAMI.
